EV9282-01 is the replacement cartridge set for the Everpure H-1200 drinking water system, and we stock the genuine Everpure set for your system. If you fill glasses and cooking pots from the H-1200 side faucet, this set is the part that goes back on the filter head at each change. You can make that change yourself, and a flush at the side faucet finishes the job. With this set on hand, you have every part the next change needs.
One box holds both H-1200 cartridges
The H-1200 is a dual cartridge system, and it needs a side faucet because that faucet is where your filtered water comes out. Our Everpure H-1200 Replacement Water Filter Cartridge EV-928201, Set of 2 includes the H-1200 #1 cartridge and the H-1200 #2 cartridge for that system. The two cartridges work as a pair on the twin filter head, and you replace both of them at each change.
You may also see this set listed as EV928201 (EV9282-01 with its hyphen dropped), as EV-928201 on our product page, or as EV928203, and each of those numbers points to the same box. If the number you saved from your last order matches one of these, this set fits your H-1200. The whole H-1200 system carries a different number (EV9282-00), so check that your saved number ends in 01 or 03 before you order cartridges.
Check our H-1200 and H-300 NXT comparison if you are not sure which Everpure system you have. That post compares the two systems on capacity and flow, and it helps you match the cartridge set to the system you own.
Your daily water use sets how fast the gallons add up
Change the set once a year, or sooner when the flow slows or the set reaches 1,000 gallons. Rated capacity is the number of gallons a set can filter before it needs a change.
At 0.5 gallons per minute, a one gallon pitcher takes about two minutes to fill at the side faucet. Pouring the full 1,000 gallons through the set would take about 33 hours of flow, spread across every glass or pot you fill. Time the same pitcher with each new set, and you have a pace to compare against as the months go by.
A home that draws about 2.7 gallons a day reaches 1,000 gallons in about a year. If your home draws more than that, it reaches 1,000 gallons sooner, and the set comes due before the year is up. If your home draws less, you still change the set at one year. Cooking with water from the side faucet raises your daily draw, and so does filling a coffee maker.

Each standard number shows what the H-1200 reduces
NSF International tested and certified the H-1200 against NSF/ANSI 42 and NSF/ANSI 53. In plain words, Standard 42 covers contaminants that are not health related, such as the chlorine that changes taste and odor. Standard 53 covers health effects claims such as lead and cysts.
For chlorine and chloramine, NSF certified the reduction under Standard 42. Standard 42 also covers the H-1200 claim for Class I particulate (particles from 0.5 to under 1 micron).
Under Standard 53, NSF certified the H-1200 to reduce cysts and lead. The Standard 53 cyst claim covers cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, and the cartridges reduce them by mechanical means. Standard 53 also covers the H-1200 claims for MTBE (methyl tertiary-butyl ether) and chloroform.
A second certifier, IAPMO R&T, certifies the H-1200 claim for Total PFAS under NSF/ANSI 53, and the test mixture for that claim includes PFOA and PFOS.
Microplastics reduction has its own NSF certification under NSF/ANSI 401. Standard 401 covers emerging compounds and incidental contaminants, a group found at trace levels in drinking water supplies.
When you compare water filters, look for the standard number beside each claim.
The old cartridge comes out with a quarter turn left
Your H-1200 has a twin filter head with a shut-off valve on the head, and both cartridges hang down from that head. The head is part EV9272-25, the QL twin series head, and it stays in place while you change cartridges. Every step happens at the filter head and the side faucet.
Call us at 855-789-3278 before you start if you have any question about which new cartridge goes in which spot on the head.
Work on one cartridge at a time, and put the first new cartridge in before you take out the second old one. Follow these steps in order.
- Lift the handle on the shut-off valve on the filter head until it stops.
- Hold the filter head firmly with one hand.
- Turn one old cartridge to the left, about a quarter turn, until it stops.
- Pull that cartridge down and out of the head.
- Line up the lug on a new cartridge with the label on the head.
- Push the new cartridge up into the head.
- Turn it to the right, about a quarter turn, until it stops.
- Do steps 2 to 7 again for the second cartridge.
- Open the side faucet.
- Lower the handle on the shut-off valve.
- Let the water run from the side faucet for at least 15 minutes.
New cartridges need a flush of at least 15 minutes to clear out air and any loose carbon. At 0.5 gallons per minute, that flush uses about 7.5 gallons of water. The water may look cloudy at first because the filter and the tubing hold trapped air.
Scuffs on a new shell are cosmetic
Your new cartridges have an aluminum outer shell, and small dents or carbon spots on that shell do not affect how a cartridge performs. If carbon powder settles near the top of a cartridge, you can wipe it away before the cartridge goes into the head. None of these marks is a reason to set a new cartridge aside.
Inside, each cartridge contains a bacteriostat agent that slows bacteria growth, and that keeps the cartridge from clogging early.
Your next set can arrive when this one is due
Subscribe and Save takes the reorder off your list, because the next set ships on the interval you choose. Many Everpure cartridges run on six or twelve month cycles under the plan, and the cycle depends on capacity and water use. A twelve month interval lines up with the yearly change on the H-1200. A home that draws more than about 2.7 gallons a day can pick a shorter interval, so the next set arrives before the old one reaches 1,000 gallons. You can adjust the interval, pause a shipment, skip a delivery or cancel.
